Sponsorship

Two people can accomplish more than twice as much as one; they get a better return for their labor. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But people who are alone when they fall are in real trouble. And on a cold night, two under the same blanket can gain warmth from each other. But how can one be warm alone? A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back to conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.

(Ecclesiastes 4:9-12, NLT)

We offer all our participants the opportunity to connect with a sponsor.

A sponsor is a person who has proven commitment to their own recovery for an extended period of time. Their role is similar to an accountability partner in that they are encouragers and willing to both make and receive phone calls. A sponsor is a guide, a coach and advisor. They will help you define what the expectations and parameters are for this relationship. Sponsors should not make decisions for you but offer insight to other ways of looking at a given situation. Sponsors will ask the questions to help you discover the right choices for you. Their role, like a coach points you towards the things that assisted them in their recovery and spiritual growth.

Participants should contact a staff member for more information and application.
